Summertime..and sunshine ? !
The holiday season is now in full swing and, whilst the weather hasn't been scorching, holiday-makers and those looking to buy property in the area are still flooding into the 'Sept-Vallées' area. With very good reason too; easy access from the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands ensures that there are always lots of people looking to enjoy the many attractions of the Canche and Authie valleys with the nearby seaside resorts and golden beaches of the Côte d'Opale.
The economic climate in UK might not be as buoyant as last year but nearly all the immobiliers (estate agents) in the area have plenty of interest in their properties and prices have undoubtedly risen significantly. Those who have, or are looking to, purchase homes in this sought-after area can look forward to a good return on their investment. The benefits aren't just financial either.. the '7-Valleys' area provides excellent communications, beautiful scenery, good food and wine and superb hospitality from friendly local people. If you are thinking of buying in the area, don't delay but please do take the time to do some research, learn some basic French language and integrate a little with your new neighbours and then you will be sure to get the maximum benefit.
There are some excellent deals available from all the cross-channel operators now so even getting to the area for a quick holiday break or to look around at property is not expensive.
